Join Me in Service for Our Kids
Posted 07/13/2017 05:53PM

Ten years ago, when my family joined the Trinity community, my husband Chuck and I had no idea all this school would do for our three kids. Trinity has instilled a real love for learning and a self confidence that allows them to stretch themselves and do things they might not have thought they could otherwise.

I am delighted to serve as your new Parent Council President. I sincerely hope you will join me this year in support of our amazing school through Parent Council. Whether you can give a little time or a lot, we want to get to know you!

What is Parent Council?

We’re a volunteer group that supports Trinity and its core values by planning and facilitating programs, activities and events. Parent Council serves the entire Trinity community, and as a Trinity parent, you are already a member!

How can I participate?

Help us kick off the year and attend the Snow Cone Party where the kids meet their teachers and see their classrooms. Maybe you would like to volunteer for the Book Festival in the fall. Or, you could help year-round with the School Spirit Store or uniform resale.

Help decorate the school for Christmas, volunteer during lunch, host Grandparents and Special Friends Day in February, or cap off the year with the wildly fun Trinity Olympics. Parent Council also facilitates Carpool Dads, who open our car doors on Wednesday mornings, and Tornado Dads, who can be found serving up burgers at various events. By the way, we are always looking for more dads!

How can I get started?

Parent Council is open to all Trinity parents. Please consider any or all of these opportunities:

  • Attend Parent Council coffees to get to know one another better. (See calendar.)
  • Attend a monthly committee chair meeting, open to all parents. (See calendar.)
  • Stay tuned for volunteer opportunities.
  • Email me for more information.

I cannot wait to meet you soon and begin an amazing year of service together for our children.
