We happily welcome The Reverend Canon Ken Malcolm as our chaplain! Ken has been part of the Trinity family for a long time, and he's the proud parent of two Trinity alumni. We're excited to have him join our leadership team in the fall of 2017.
The Rev. Malcolm's duties will include leading daily worship, teaching religion classes, offering pastoral care, and overseeing community outreach and service learning. He previously served multiple roles for The Episcopal Diocese of Colorado in Denver—serving as Canon Missioner for Evangelism, Formation, and Leadership Development; Executive Director of The Center at Cathedral Ridge; and Director of the Generation to Generation Capital Campaign. He has previous experience as a school chaplain college professor, and camp director.
“I am passionate about certain issues—stewardship of creation, community development, and servant leadership, service learning—but my real passion rests with the students and equipping them with the spiritual, moral, and ethical foundations to help them traverse all of life's challenges," The Rev. Malcolm said. "I want them all to know every day that they are loved, valued, amazing gifts from God who, once they discern their calling in the world, can have the foundation to be who God created them to be.”
In the search for a chaplain, Trinity leaned heavily on Assistant Chaplain Craig Cannon, who will continue in his role.
