DECEMBER
Christmas at Trinity
Christmas spirit filled Trinity during this special time of year! Middle schoolers presented a virtual version of Trinity's 18th annual Lessons & Carols, a traditional Advent service, and Lower School worked many, many weeks to create a pre-recorded version of their annual Christmas Pageant, with a retelling of the birth of Jesus and the true meaning of Christmas.
Go, Tornado!
Coach Hendricks recaps the past year in Athletics in the latest Tornado Watch. 👆 Despite a challenging year, our Athletics program not only survived but thrived — 91% of middle schoolers played at least 1 sport, and 51% played all three seasons. We fielded 65 teams across 11 sports.
New Sport for Lower Schoolers
We added boys and girls lacrosse, giving our younger students new opportunities to collaborate, problem-solve and build confidence.
Athletics Awards
Tornado Athletics had a lot to celebrate this year! Student-athletes and their families gathered on the Spirit Pavilion to honor some amazing accomplishments.
APRIL
Easter at Trinity
We celebrated the Resurrection with one of our favorite traditions, Flowering of the Cross, where we transform an instrument of suffering into a symbol of joy and rebirth. And at the Maundy Thursday service, faculty and staff honored 8th graders with a feet-washing ritual, modeling humility and servant leadership to their students.
Creative Arts
High School Musical Jr.
Our Middle School Theater students, Ms. Stuart, and Ms. Venkatesh prepared, recorded, and edited the Spring Musical, High School Musical Jr. and premiered it online.
Creative Arts Gallery
Browse the amazing student work in art, music, theater, Tornado News, cartooning, D-Lab/Coding, and Trinity Voices.
Spring Concert
Middle School Music presented its annual showcase featuring the choir, ensemble, and piano programs, all recorded and premiered online.
PSIA One-Act Play
Our advanced theater class performed The Customer is Always Wrong, a play about four teenagers who start their very first jobs, babysitting, waiting tables, passing out flyers and working at a movie theater, but it's not long before they find out that in the minimum-wage world, the customer is king...a brutal, ruthless king. This funny, biting comedy is an ode to anyone who's ever had to tell the worst customer in the world to "have a nice day."
Community Service
Horizons
We celebrated Horizons AustinTrinity with the “Share Your Heart” virtual event, showcasing our private school/public purpose initiative and celebrating all this program means to our community.
Book Drive
Our community shared the love of reading with a Book Drive for our partner school Rodriguez Elementary, led by MS Service Leadership classes and the Page Turning Tornado Library club.
