School Policies

If you test positive, quarantine for 5 days or until asymptomatic.

I tested positive for COVID-19.	Isolate for 5 days. (Day 0 is the day of a positive test.) Return to school on day 6 if asymptomatic (no fever for 24 hours without the use of medication and resolution or improvement of symptoms). Wear a mask around others including outdoors for 5 additional days.
I have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.	Monitor for symptoms for 10 days and wear a mask indoors. Stay home if symptoms develop.

Masks are optional.

Limited testing available on campus.

We have a limited number of rapid antigen tests available on campus for students, faculty, and staff. In the case of exposure, symptoms, or testing out of quarantine, tests can be scheduled by emailing Director of HR and Operations Martha Monreal. Parent permission, and in some cases parent attendance, is required for student testing. The tests are for school use only and can not be provided for personal use such as family trips.

Remote learning is not available.

We strongly encourage vaccination.

The majority of our employees are fully vaccinated. High levels of vaccinations are a substantial strength for our school community. We are collecting vaccine cards for all eligible to be vaccinated, and hope to see a similar level of participation. We strongly encourage vaccination for everyone eligible within our community. Students who are vaccinated will no longer be required to quarantine if there is an exposure in the class.

If a child is not vaccinated, click 'no' to complete the requirement.
If you click 'yes', you'll be prompted to upload a copy of your child's vaccine card.

We no longer require daily health screenings.

Students can eat lunch outdoors.

We continue to evaluate and update our COVID-19 protocols based on extensive and thoughtful consultation with other independent school leaders, guidance from health experts, the CDC, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and Austin Public Health. Ultimately, our goal is to keep students in school as safely as possible while providing the excellent educational experience you expect from Trinity. As always, the health of our community is at the forefront of these decisions, and our protocols may be modified depending on changes with the pandemic during the year.
