Trinity Honors Veterans in the Community

On Thursday, November 11, Trinity invited veterans in our community to a Chapel service where we recognized their military service. Guests included Trinity parents, family members, and faculty and staff members who served or currently serve in one of the six branches of the military. Trinity dad Major Jeff Broaddus and third grade teacher Karen Broaddus spoke to students about the impact that military service has on families. "Part of saying thank you is thanking them for taking time away from their families," said Mrs. Broaddus. "It's not easy for the families at home, so please keep us in mind."

Joan Frost, Assistant to the Head of Middle School, joined Middle School students in Chapel to explain why we celebrate Veterans Day and why "thank you" is a small phrase with a significant impact. "It's important," she said. "Because they're putting their lives at risk, so we don't have to." One of Frost's sons is actively serving in the military.

Thank you to each veteran in our community. We recognize the sacrifices you've made and are grateful for your bravery.
