Trinity Trustees Welcomed to the Board, Honored for Service

Trustees Installation 2021

The official installation of incoming Board Trustees kicked off their service to Trinity at a special dinner on campus the week after graduation. Because we were unable to have the installation service last year, Trustees appointed in both 2020 and in 2021 were commissioned that evening.

Like most independent schools, Trinity is guided by a board of trustees — a volunteer group that promotes the school's goals and vision for the future. Led by Board Chair Shelly Bain, the Trinity Board of Trustees includes Trinity parents and community representatives. Trustees serve 3-year terms. Trustees focus on the big picture, leaving day-to-day operations to the head of school. The board offers the financial expertise and vision necessary to keep the school healthy for years to come. In short, the board holds Trinity "in trust" for future generations of students and families.

Outgoing Trustees from the past two years, including Robyn Malloy (pictured), Michelle Cline, Ron Olfers, Dan Ahearn, Brian Magierski, Alan Fenton, and the late Malcolm Cooper were honored for their service.

The traditional “Roast and Toast,” a lighthearted tribute and fun way to say “thank you for your Board service” honored outgoing Trustees Dan Ahearn, Alan Fenton, Robyn Malloy, and Ron Olfers. Departing Trustee Brian Magierski was not present. Board Chair Shelly Bain also honored the memory of Malcolm Cooper, a beloved Trinity Trustee who passed away last year, by sharing a letter that his daughters Cissy Warner and Bess Carsner wrote to Head of School Jennifer Morgan earlier this year. “Besides being a wonderful trustee and friend, Malcolm was also a proud tornado granddad. With the youngest of his Trinity grandkids graduated this year,” said Bain. “I feel we are all very fortunate to have had the chance to serve alongside Malcolm.”

"Trinity students, faculty and staff are blessed to have such a dedicated and supportive governing board at our school," said Head of School Jennifer Morgan. "These leaders are committed to Trinity's mission and four core values. Their work ensures Trinity maintains an academic community characterized by joyful rigor."
