"T" is for Thankfulness

As we wrap up this year's Annual Fund "T" campaign, it's important to recognize everyone in the Trinity community who have made it possible for our school to maintain its place as a leader in K-8 education. From our amazing families, alumni, grandparents, and special friends, to our faculty and staff, Board of Trustees, and Annual Fund Parent Chairs, Tory and Milam Newby.

The "T" campaign honors our Trinity Teachers, the Tornado Spirit, and the Togetherness of our community. Because we couldn't be physically together for the start of the year, it was important to celebrate each of these things, but most importantly, our Togetherness. Our community has given more than $753,000, which exceeds our set goal. We are also thrilled with our parent participation of 90%, with more contributions still coming in. Each gift supports Trinity where it is needed most: our curriculum, the student experience, and each day of learning, whether online or in-person.

"Tory and Milam Newby are the parents you dream of working with on any project," said Kristi Katz, Trinity's Chief Development Officer. "From bulletin boards to special events from boardroom decisions to just being in Chapel and supporting our faculty and children, they lift the school. They are passionate about Trinity and inspire others to be, also."

The Newby's, along with our Development team and other school leadership, successfully reframed the Annual Fund due to the particular challenges this year brought. To them, the Trinity experience is about teamwork, so it was very important that they make this year’s campaign feel authentic by keeping the focus on the things that unite all Trinity families — our students and their classroom experience.

"The most fulfilling part about chairing the campaign was to see our “T” factors come to life — mainly the Tornado Spirit coming together to support our teachers," said Milam. "And we had some amazing gifts come in this year, including many from families new to the Trinity community. And notably, financial participation by Trinity teachers and staff was at an all-time high. This all speaks to how well the mission of Trinity resonates among our families, and how important a Trinity education is for our kids."

The campaign ended with a fourth "T" added to the existing Annual Fund themes: Thankfulness. We are so thankful for the generosity of the entire Trinity community. Thank you!
