After-School Program Team Member (K–8)

Trinity Episcopal School is an inclusive, forward-thinking, faith-based K-8 independent school that meets each student where they are to nurture the whole child’s academic, social, physical, emotional, and spiritual growth. Trinity is located in West Lake Hills, close to downtown Austin, Texas.

About the position:

After the Bell (ATB) offers a daily after-school program for our K-8 students at the end of the school day. This program incorporates outdoor and indoor play options. We are looking for fun, personable, and confident team members capable of supervising and engaging students in group activities. 

Our ATB Team Members ensure the safety of children in the program while sparking their interest in discovery, promoting their personal growth, and encouraging their efforts. They also cultivate relationships with families, staff, and school partners while creating an environment where fun and learning occur.

Ideal candidates will have...

  • Respect for and dedication to working with children while facilitating a safe environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with a varied audience including children, parents, colleagues, and school personnel.
  • Strong group management skills with the ability to use and model appropriate positive guidance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Active supervision ensuring the safety of children in the program while sparking their interest in discovery, promoting their personal growth, and encouraging their efforts.
  • Cultivate a safe and positive environment.
  • General program duties such as attendance tracking and communications.

Hours:

  • Daily shifts are either 3:40-5:15 p.m, or 3:40-6 p.m., 2-5 days a week. Opportunities for additional hour are available.
